Statement | I was born into a fringe sect of Islam that tried to peacefully rationalize the supernatural elements of Abrahamic theology through the advent of a ‘modern’ Messiah.
Albeit I felt continuously subjugated to a dogmatic and separatist society geared towards the regression of our moral liberal values as global citizens in the 21st century.
I left my conservative household as a young teenager seeking education in the Middle East then the US and finally the UK.
To those who know me - my rejection of this religion is no secret and has roots that go way back. But at this time I lack the courage to be truly public about my beliefs.
My thoughts are motivated by a close study of the Philosophy of Physics, Friedrich Nietzsche, Christopher Hitchens and Sam Harris. As well as of course the ancient civilizations of the Levant that have been so regrettably repressed in their influence in the ME.
