I’m an atheist man born into a British Pakistani family and was quite happily married to a Muslim woman but over time realised that I was not able to keep up a false belief and declared the same to my wife with the outcome that even though been married for 20 years, my honesty has cost me marriage as she has requested a khula (Muslim divorce) on the grounds that the marriage all those years ago is invalid.. I have agreed to this and have even moved out but have become the bad guy for just stating the truth.. it is a very lonely existence and hard to find like minded people
