Hullo everyone. I\'m very glad I stumbled upon such a brilliant site . I\'m an agnostic atheist myself . Been a muslim for the majority of my life but not because I really believed in it . But because I was forced to be a muslim without me having an opinion about it .
I come from a very relegious background . A community that\'s tied firmly to religion . But as I grew up I started questioning thing .(being a topdown rationalist and a freethinker by nature :))I witnessed a strong apposition of my family and friend . But that\'s what amplified my curiousity more , because if you believe in something to be the ultimate truth . Why should you appose questioning right ?
Little by little with smart and confident steps I forsake religion and decided that it will only keep screwing my life up more.and luckily I had back then some foreign friends that where smart and thoughtful that inspired me and helped me intellectually and mentally overcome religion . And now here I am . An fully convinced atheist.
I admittedly still face herrasement on daily basis but I know for sure that my choice in being an atheist is by far the best ever made and nothing is bringing me back .
It fills my with pride to read about your brave experiences and I really wish there were more people from where I come from where I come from . Although I know there are many out there . And btw I noticed there was an algerian here 🙂 big kiss from you fellow citizen . Keep it up!
