Statement

I am seeking membership in the Council of Ex-Muslims of Britain (CEMB) due to the urgent need for support and community as an ex-Muslim woman facing significant challenges. My decision to leave Islam has resulted in a relentless campaign of harassment, including cyberstalking, physical stalking, and death threats. I have also experienced the traumatic violation of having my personal information exposed on the dark web. In addition to these external threats, I have been isolated and vulnerable due to my family's lack of understanding and support for my decision to leave Islam.

CEMB's unwavering commitment to advocating for ex-Muslims and providing a safe haven for those who have left Islam resonates deeply with me. The organization's focus on freedom of expression, advocacy against apostasy laws, and support for those facing discrimination and persecution is essential for individuals like myself who have been marginalized and threatened for our beliefs.

I am particularly drawn to connecting with other ex-Muslims who truly understand the unique challenges we face is paramount to my well-being and resilience. The opportunity to share experiences, receive support, and find solidarity in a safe and understanding community is exactly what I need to navigate this difficult chapter in my life.

It is important to uphold the values of CEMB and actively participating in the organization's efforts to promote freedom of belief and protect the rights of ex-Muslims worldwide. By joining CEMB, I hope to find the strength and support needed to overcome the ongoing challenges I face, shield my child and potentially others from the insidious effects of religious extremism, and contribute to a global community dedicated to fostering a more tolerant and inclusive society.
