I’m Narges, a 32-year-old from Iran. I was born into a deeply religious Muslim family in Tehran, and we later moved to Qom for my father’s Islamic studies. I don’t recall exactly when I lost my faith, but I’ve always struggled with the belief that women are seen as inferior to men. This created a duality within me, and from the age of 18, I tried several times to leave home peacefully.

Over a year ago, I moved to England, and recently, I met Zara Kay at an event and learned about the term "ex-Muslim." Since then, I’ve explored stories of others who’ve left Islam or escaped similar situations. Hearing these experiences was deeply moving, and it made me feel less alone in my journey.
