I am seeking to join your organization because I have recently left Islam and now face serious threats to my safety and well-being as a result. Coming from a Muslim background in Bangladesh and currently living in Saudi Arabia, I have experienced firsthand how dangerous it can be to question or leave the faith. After speaking critically about a verse from the Qur'an (4:24) in a group discussion, I was met with hostility and threats of violence upon my return to Bangladesh. I am joining this organization in hopes of finding a community that understands what I’m going through — people who share similar experiences and who can offer support, guidance, and solidarity. Being part of this group would mean I’m not alone in this difficult journey and would give me hope and strength in a time when I feel most vulnerable.
