I wish to join the Council of Ex-Muslims of Britain (CEMB) because I deeply resonate with its mission of advocating for the rights, dignity, and freedom of individuals who have left Islam. Coming from a background where apostasy is often met with stigma, fear, or isolation, I understand the immense courage it takes to question and ultimately leave one’s faith. CEMB represents a lifeline—a community that not only offers solidarity and support but also stands boldly against religious dogma, coercion, and injustice.
For me, CEMB is more than just an organisation; it is a symbol of freedom of thought and conscience. It gives a voice to those who are often silenced or erased and challenges harmful narratives that restrict personal autonomy. By becoming a part of this community, I hope to contribute to a larger movement that normalises dissent, promotes secular values, and creates safe spaces for those who have dared to think differently.
