I was born into Islam from an Algerian moderate Muslim family. I never fully understood a lot about Islam until I was an adolescent. Throughout my teenage hood, I read the Quran and started doubting my faith especially considering my debauched life style. But it is only at the age of 21, a year ago that I fully left behind all the doctrines of Islam and simply stopped believing. I think it is the deal of a lot of \"moderate Muslims\", reconciling the Western life style and the religion to a certain point that it becomes impossible. I still love my family and my direct family has not denied me of anything and still support me. I consider myself lucky for not having a more pious family.
