I currently live in a very strict Muslim household that is driving me insane and at times makes me feel suicidal. I was never that serious about religion and it wasn’t until I was 12 when I realised that I no longer wanted to be a Muslim but this is something I’ve still kept a secret from my parents because I know the consequences would be very serious if they ever found out. I’m 18 now and I still haven’t told them. I hate being forced to live a life I don’t want to but there’s nothing I can do about it yet since i still have to live with my parents and frankly, I don’t want to be kicked out and live on the streets.
