I used to be a Muslim (Deobandi Sunni) and am now an Atheist and secular humanist. I left Islam in my 20\'s when I realised that Islam was just another man-made religion. I was also very concerned by the very anti-freedom, anti-free thought and barbaric values promoted by Islam, and the resistance to enlightenment and free inquiry. I think an organisation like the CEMB are great is certainly on the right side of history. They are essential to break the taboo of apostasy in Islam.
