Calling ex-Muslims in France

I’m Waleed Al-Husseini, the Palestinian blogger arrested in 2010 by the Palestinian Authority on charges of blasphemy. I was released and an now in France where I intend to establish the Council of Ex-Muslims of France.

Our launch will be held on 6 July 2013; I hope you will support our important work.

We are a group of atheists and non-believers  who have faced threats and restrictions in our personal lives. Many of us have been arrested for blasphemy.

The Council of Ex-Muslims of France has the following aims:

1. We call for universal rights and full equality and oppose tolerance of inhuman beliefs, discrimination and ill-treatment in the name of respecting religion and culture.

2. Freedom to criticise religion. Prohibition of restrictions on unconditional freedom of criticism and expression using so-called religious ‘sanctities’.

3. Freedom of religion and atheism

4. Separation of religion from the state and the educational and legal system

5. Prohibition of religious customs, rules, ceremonies or activities that are incompatible with or infringe people’s rights and freedoms

6. Abolition of all restrictive and repressive cultural and religious customs which hinder and contradict woman’s independence, free will and equality. Prohibition of segregation of sexes.

7. Prohibition of interference by any authority, family members or relatives, or official authorities in the private lives of women and men and their personal, emotional and sexual relationships and sexuality

8. Protection of children from manipulation and abuse by religion and religious institutions

9. Prohibition of any kind of financial, material or moral support by the state or state institutions to religion and religious activities and institutions.

10. Prohibition of all forms of religious intimidation and threats.

قررنا افتتاح مجلس للمسلمين السابقيين Ex Muslim في فرنسا لذلك ندعو كل من الملحدين واللادينيين والربويون والخارجين من الاسلام في فرنسا للاتصال بنا من اجل الانضمام لهذا المجلس الذي سوف نقوم بتحويله الى منظمة في وقت لاحق من هذه السننه

اهداف المجلس
نحن نسعى من اجل المواطنه المتساوية للجميع ونعارض التسامح مع المعتقدات اللانسانيه باسم احترام الدين والثقافة
حرية انتقاد الدين ورفع القيود المفروضه عليه باسم ازدراء الاديان
فصل الدين عن الدولة
حظر جميع اشكال الانشطة واللقاءات والاحتفالات الدينيه التي تنتهك حقوق الانسان وحرياتهم
الغاء جميع العادات الدينيه المهينه والمقيده والتي تتعارض مع استقلاليه المرأة وحقها في الحريه والمساواه وحظر التمييز بين الجنسين
حظر التدخل من جانب السلطات او العائله او الوالدين او اي جهة رسميه كانت في حياة الرجل او المرأة الشخصية والعاطفيه والجنسيه
حماية الاطفال من التلاعب بعقولهم من قب الموسسة الدينيه
حظر اي نوع من الدعم ماديا كان او معنويا من قبل الدولة على اي نشاط ديني او مؤسسه
منع جميع اشكال التخويف والتهديدات الدينيه
وسوف يكون هذا المجلس تابع الى مثيلاته في بريطانيا والمانيا

Translation into French:

Mon nom est Waleed Al-Husseini, je suis un blogger palestinien ; j’ai été arrêté en 2010 par l’Autorité Palestinienne, et accusé de blasphème. Je suis sorti de prison et vis maintenant en France, où j’ai l’intention de créer cette année le Conseil des ex –Musulmans de France.

Le lancement aura lieu le 6 juillet 2013 ; j’espère que vous soutiendrez notre important travail.

Nous sommes un groupe d’athées et d’incroyants qui avons, de ce fait,  fait face à des menaces et à des restrictions dans nos vies personnelles. Plusieurs d’entre nous ont été arrêtés pour blasphème. Less buts du Conseil des ex-Musulmans de France sont les suivants:

Nous réclamons :

  1. les droits universels, l’égalité totale, et nous nous opposons à toute tolérance pour des croyances inhumaines, toute discrimantion et tous mauvais traitements, au nom du respect de la religion et de la culture.

2. La liberté de critiquer les religions. L’interdiction de toute restriction à la liberté inconditionnelle de critique et d’expression, sous couleur de sanctité de la religion.

3. La liberté de religion et d’athéisme

4. La séparation de la religion d’avec l’Etat, le système éducatif, et le système légal.

5. L’interdiction des coutumes, règles, cérémonies ou activités religieuses qui sont incompatibles avec ou violents les droits et libertés des peuples

6. La prohibition de toute coutume culturelle ou  religieuse qui freine ou s’oppose à l’autonomie des femmes, à leur volonté et à l’égalité. La prohibition de la ségrégation des sexes.

7. La prohibition de toute interférence par quelque autorité, familiale ou parentale, ou par les autorités officielles dans la vie privée  des femmes et des hommes et dans leur relations personnelles émotionelles et sexuelles, et leur sexualité.

8. La protection des enfants contre toute manipulation et abus  par la religion et les institutions religieuses

9. L’interdiction de toute forme de soutien financier, matériel ou moral accordé par l’Etat ou les institutions de l’Etat aux religions, aux activités religieuses et à leurs institutions.

10. L’interdiction de toute forme de menaces et d’intimidations religieuses.
