Hello Apostates, Blasphemers, Heretics and Freethinkers.
It is good to see you, especially since Covid and so soon after the violent attack on our courageous Salman Rushdie. He is not the first nor will he be the last.
There are countless others, languishing on death row, in hiding, in prison, buried in mass graves.
The best of our best, cut down by the likes of the Iranian regime (directly responsible for Rushdie’s attack), by fundamentalists of all stripes and by of course inhuman ideologies – religion and Islam – that justify and legitimize violence and submission.
I accuse them all – for state crimes, religious crimes and crimes of the religious-Right.
Also. I accuse those complicit or silent, including states that appease this movement and the cowards that side with murderers and blame victims.
As Chilean poet Pablo Neruda said, however, ‘You can cut all the flowers but you cannot keep Spring from coming.’
There are too many of us. We are the innumerable – not just yearning for but demanding, insisting, without apology and shame, the right to live, breath, love and think as we choose.
We are the ex-Muslim movement, the new civil rights movement of our era, challenging obscurantism, religious dogma, hate, violence, fear, submission and inhumanity with reason, creativity, love, non-violence, courage, humanity and dissent.
Like all civil rights movements, we are transgressive, subversive, deemed dangerous for reimagining a world without permission.
A world that criminalizes fatwas, sharia courts and theocracies. A world that celebrates apostasy, blasphemy and dissent.
We know history is written by victors, the powerful and privileged but there is always also a corresponding history of resistance and dissent that challenges the powerful, sacred and taboo.
It’s the only history for human progress that counts.
However, many flowers they cut and they cut, our movement will forever be etched in the history of resistance.
And spring – it is a-coming.
از مذهب بریده ها، مرتدین، کفرگویان، بی خدایان و آزاداندیشان خوش آمدید
چه عالی است که ما، بخصوص بعد از دوران کرونا و بلافاصله بعد از حمله وحشیانه به سلمان رشدی شجاع مان، گرد هم آمده ایم.
او اولین و آخرین کسی نیست که مورد حمله قرار می گیرد.
خیل عظیمی در زندان‌ها هستند و یا در خفا و یا در گورهای دسته جمعی خاک شده اند.
بهترینهای ما را از بین بردند، دولتهایی مانند جمهوری اسلامی ایران (که مسئول مستقیم حمله به رشدی است) یا مانند راست مذهبی گوناگون با ایدئولوژی‌های غیر انسانی – مانند مذهب و اسلام – که خشونت و تسلیم را اعمال میکنند.
من همه آنها را متهم می کنم. متهم به جنایات دولتی، مذهبی و مذهب سیاسی
همچنین آنانی که با سکوت یا همراهی خود با آنها همدست می شوند، شامل دولتهایی که با این جنبش مماشات می کنند و یا بزدلانی که در کنار قاتلان ، قربانیان را مسئول جنایت می داند را من متهم می کنم.
همانطور که پابلو نرودا شاعر شیلی می‌گوید تو می توانی گلها را درو کنید ، جلوی بهار را، اما، نتوان گرفت.
ما بیشماریم. ما نه تنها آرزو داریم بلکه با فریادی رسا، خواهان اعاده حق خود بدون هیچ شرم و خجالتی، برای زیستن، نفس کشیدن، عشق ورزیدن و فکر کردن را همانگونه که خود انتخاب می کنیم هستیم!
ما جنبش از اسلام برگشتگان، جنبش جدید حقوق مدنی دوران خود هستیم که با تاریک اندیشی، دگم های مذهبی، تنفر، خشونت، وحشت، تسلیم و ضدیت با بشر، با منطق، خلاقیت، عشق، روش‌های بدون خشونت، شجاعت، انسانیت و ناهم اندیشی انها را به مصاف میطلبیم
همانند جنبش حقوق مدنی، ما پا را از محیط خود درازتر می کنیم، ور می افکنیم و بخاطر تجسم جهانی دگر بدون هیچ اجازه ای خطرناک شمرده می شویم.
جهانی که فتوا، دادگاههای شریعه و تئوکراسی جرم است. جهانی که ارتداد، توهین به مقدسات و نا هم اندیشی را گرامی می دارد.
ما می دانیم که تاریخ بوسیله پیروز مندان، قدرتمندان و متملکین نوشته می شود، ولی همیشه تاریخ دیگری ، هم زاد آن، تاریخ مقاومت و ناهم اندیشی که قدرتمندان ، مقدسات و تابوها را به مصاف میتطلبد. این همان تاریخی است که برای تحقق پیشرفت بشر مهم است.
هر چقدر که گلهای ما را درو کنند تاریخ ما اما، بر سر در پیشرفت بشر نوشته خواهد شد.
