I am a ex-Muslim from Egypt. I have left Islam after traveling to the west and studying physics as undergraduate. Studying physics and astronomy has made me question faith because it showed that there are tested scientific theories that explain the origin of the universe without relying on metaphysical assumptions. Currently, I am studying and working part time in the UK. I would like to join the organization to find a community of similar minded individuals. I also want as support group to discuss issues I have face when I travel back to Egypt and specifically when I tried to be open about my religious belief with therapists in Egypt.
